8th grade Symmetrical Name Designs 2014

During the first week of school, my 8th grade students began to explore their creativity right away. In fact, we are still working on these masterpieces. Our symmetrical name designs (they will be symmetrical soon) are showcasing original designs along with some fun coloring techniques including shading, stippling, and a combination of the two. Not only are these name designs exciting to look at, they are secretly representing the elements of art and principles of design. We will discuss these terms later in the week. As always, I'm impressed with the level of artistic talent here at WKMS.
