ELEMENTS of Art & PRINCIPLES of Design

Elements of Art:
Line, Shape, Color, Form, Value, Texture, Space
Principles of Design:
Emphasis, Pattern, Rhythm, Unity/Harmony, Balance, Proportion, Movement, Variety

All artwork is made up of the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Over the course of this year, we will discuss how the elements and principles relate to each and every piece of art we create. Below you will find a link to my Evernote document showcasing some of these vocabulary terms. You may use this document as a resource and study tool during projects and self-evaluations.
