LOVE these 6th Grade Self Portraits!!! You will too!

MODIGLIANI SELF PORTRAITS - 6th Grade

My 6th grade students studied Amadeo Modigliani and his distorted portraits (elongated necks, tilted heads, hollow eyes, etc.). I could not be happier with the finished products! They are definitely worth showing off! Show everyone! :)

*Sorry about the horizontal orientation. I have yet to find the option for rotating images on this blog. A slight tilt of your head will work.

Beautiful Illuminated Letter ROUGH DRAFTS - 7th

ILLUMINATED LETTERS (Rough Drafts)

I can't wait to see the FINAL illuminated letters! These rough drafts are AWESOME! I think everyone will enjoy the wax resist technique.

GETTING SURREAL with the 8th Graders!

"SURREALISM IN YOUR EYES"

We started with automatic writing, analyzed our dreams, and finally created collages. These are all techniques Surrealist artists used to create art. Our next step is to transition from collage to FINAL SURREAL ARTWORK. How will they do it? Check back for final pieces.
